It’s like when the tall fat guy is nicknamed “Tiny.” Reading on Wikipedia about galaxy clusters….the Local Group is the galaxy that contains the Milky Way. So it is our most local galaxy. So local, that we’re in it.
The snail is varnished with a high gloss varnish, while the background has a satin finish. Light blue boarder all around provides a hint of a frame.
