Relaxed Flamboyance

A work on paper that will come matted and ready to fit into a standard 16x20 inch frame. This flamingo was created on top of a stencil of stems and leaves. I tried to do as little as possible to bring the flamingo to life. White space showing through is working hard. Marshland the flamingo walks in is formed from a light wash. Simple linework makes the beak and eye. Light brush strokes form the legs. A special piece for a special place. Is it yours?
