This snail features the golden ratio or Fibonacci series of numbers – 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13…all you do is add the 2 numbers preceding. You can find this pattern through out nature. It is in pineapples and pine cones and some snail shells! I wanted to incorporate that bit of order to the shell and leave some of the gridding it out below showing through.
